tool sale on Friday, November 18th in the Champions area.
Craftsman brand Wood Lathe
- This appears to be an vintage lathe with a flat way sort of what would be
found on a Sherline lathe. It looks as though it would originally have had
short (12" - 14" bed) but has a second section added to it. The unit
is marked as 1HP. There is a drive spur, live center, and tool rest. It
might be a MT1. It needs some cleanup.
Dewalt 16" Scroll Saw (DW788) with stand and light. This, I recall him
telling me, had hardly been used. It was stored in the garage but was covered
so it has escaped the most of the dreaded Houston rusting. This saw is in good
shape and is priced at $300. The same saw is currently 'on sale' at Woodcraft
at $499.99 for the saw alone.
Dewalt 790 12" Radial Arm Saw. It includes the hefty steel base. Again,
this unit has been stored in the garage and will need a bit of cleanup. This
is a heavy duty saw and is priced at $300. Reviewing completed sales on eBay
indicates this is a good price point for this saw.
There are also a number of Craftsman tools including ....
Mitre saw
Contractor style table saw
Small disc / belt sander
I believe there was also a bench top jointer
There is also a large manual steel mitre box with a large saw.
Another item, still in the box, is a Craftsman Router Shaper. This is a device
that is used to shape spindles with a router rather than a wood lathe. Price
includes a Craftsman 2HP, 1/2" plunge router along with a couple bits in
the routher box. Priced at $175 as a set. I just searched eBay and found that
one sold for $250 without a router!!
